Stand with us! March with us!
In January, as hundreds of Iowans once again join hundreds of thousands on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life, there will also be a day-long opportunity for pro-life advocacy and education in downtown Des Moines. The Midwest March for Life will be held on Saturday, January 16, beginning with the opportunity to attend Mass at St. Ambrose Cathedral at 9:30 a.m., followed by the March to the capitol and an afternoon luncheon and breakout sessions at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. The event sponsor, Iowa Right to Life, has organized a day that will inform and engage people from across the state in the effort to protect and respect the lives and dignity of society’s most vulnerable. The keynote speaker will be Melissa Ohden, founder of the Abortion Survivors Network and a survivor of a failed abortion. Tom Chapman, executive director of the Iowa Catholic Conference, will be part of a breakout session on state legislation and the Iowa caucuses.
Join state officials, faith leaders and fellow allies and Iowans in the pro-life movement! For more information, go to www.iowartl.org.
