Join the Network!

Joining the Iowa Catholic Conference Legislative Network will unite you with other Catholics in making a difference. You can help bring the Church’s principles on human life and dignity to the statehouse!

The benefits of joining our network include:

  • Receiving our free weekly newsletter during the Iowa legislative session, keeping you up-to-date on the latest policy issues of interest to Catholics in the state of Iowa.  We also issue an end-of-session wrap-up and periodic updates when the legislature is not in session.
  • Receiving timely action alerts and background information on important legislation.  We will contact you and provide easy links and sample messages to help you reach out to state and federal officials when those messages are most helpful.  Our website also includes resources you can use to craft your own messages to lawmakers, as well as local newspapers.
  • Learn about special educational events hosted by the ICC as well as links to resources and publications that help you participate
  • No one else will receive your contact information

If you don’t take action and bring your principles to the debate, you’re leaving the field to others. CLICK HERE to begin signing up for the network today!

“In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue, and participation in political life is a moral obligation.”

Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship

By our Baptism, we become members of Christ’s body. We become Christ’s disciples, joining in his mission – to bring “good news to the poor, liberty to captives, new sight to the blind, and to set the downtrodden free.” We have a serious responsibility to form our consciences, in light of the teaching of Jesus Christ, to help us judge how to take action on behalf of the unborn, the poor and the vulnerable.
